Since 1973, the Group has developed from a small distributor to become a major Singapore-based steel distributor that supplies a wide range of steel products and provides value-added steel processing services to industrial end-users in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. The Group is primarily engaged in two principal businesses, namely, the trading and distribution of steel-related materials and the manufacturing of cast products consisting of mainly iron and steel rolls. The Group supports the business operations of major players in the steel industry comprising mainly the steel mills, iron and steel foundries primarily in the Asia Pacific region.

The trading and distribution business of the Group is mainly undertaken by Albedo Corporation Pte Ltd. It involves the worldwide sourcing and supply of raw materials, consumables and disposable supplies, equipment and related services for the steel industry, primarily in the Asia Pacific region. It also supplies intermediate steel-related products and finished goods produced by manufacturers in the steel industry. These products are mainly used in the building and construction, infrastructure, industrial, shipbuilding, automotive and electronics industries. Its 70 percent-owned Thai subsidiary, Thai Tech Steel (2003) Co Ltd operates a cast iron and steel foundry which undertakes the manufacturing of cast products comprising mainly iron and steel rolls in Thailand. Currently, it has a production capacity of approximately 5,400 metric tonnes per annum and it has sold to more than 150 steel rolling mills in various countries in the world, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Iran, Mauritius, France, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

COMPACT METAL INDUSTRIES

BACKGROUNDThe Company was founded in 1973 under the name of Compact Metal Industries Pte Ltd. Its core business then was the fabrication of mild steel windows which was widely used in public housing projects. In the 1980s, it switched to aluminium windows and doors.

In 1989, the Group transferred part of its labour intensive operations to Malaysia. In 1992, it moved into Indonesia with the acquisition of 19 percent of PT Cakra, an Indonesian manufacturer of aluminium sections. It was converted into a public company the following year. In 1993, it established a joint venture in China.

BACKGROUNDLee Metal Pte Ltd was incorporated in Singapore on 27 December 1982. The name was changed to Lee Metal Group Ltd on 4 April 2000 when it adopted public status.
The Company is an integrated one-stop shop supplying reinforcement steel products without making heavy capital investments in steel mills. Instead it works with a network of steel mills. The Company also has a complementary steel recycling materials (SRM) division which supports its main business as well as land and marine logistics capabilities for the transportation of these products to local and overseas customers.

The Company sources its steel products from various countries including Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Malaysia, Romania, China and Ukraine. It has a domestic network of suppliers from whom it substantially sources for its SRM. The reinforcement steel products are sold principally to local contractors for use in the domestic construction and infrastructure industry and SRM is exported to regional steel mills for recycling. To derive benefits in terms of better operational efficiencies and cost savings in itsSRM operations through economics of scale and synergy, on July 2001, the Company merge its SRM operations with Natsteel Ltd’s subsidiary, Materials Recycling Pte Ltd, to form Natferrous Pte Ltd. As a result of the merger, the Group currently owns 20 percent of NatFerrous Pte Ltd. BACKGROUNDThe BRC Group's principal activity is the designing, manufacturing and marketing of steel mesh which is sold under the "BRC" brand name. CFM HOLDINGS LTD

The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 28 April 2000 under the name of CFM Holdings Pte Ltd. It was converted into a public limited company on 12 December 2003 and changed its name to CFM Holdings Limited.
The Group is principally engaged in the provision of metal stamping services and the design, fabrication and sale of tool and die which are used for the manufacture of stamped metal components.

A majority of its customers are located in Singapore, Malaysia, Europe and the US.
