BACKGROUNDSP AusNet is a stapled group comprising SP Australia Networks (Transmission) Ltd, SP Australia Networks (Distribution) Ltd and SP Australia Networks (Finance) Trust or SP Australia Networks (RE) Ltd (the Responsible Entity).
SP AusNet's business consists of an electricity transmission business and electricity and gas distribution businesses. These networks are all located in the state of Victoria where they provide for the supply of energy from producers to consumers. SP AusNet is 1 of 5 providers of electricity distribution services and 1 of 3 providers of gas distribution services.

ASIA POWER

BACKGROUNDThe Company was incorporated on 7 March 1997 and listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange on 9 November 1999.The Group is principally involved in the ownership, management and operation of power plants in China.

1) Heilongjiang Asiapower Xinbao Heating & Power Co., Ltd (“Xinbao”)

Xinbao was incorporated in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. It is now 51% owned by Asia Power Corporation Limited and 49% owned by Qiqihar Xinbao Heating and Power Co., Ltd.

Xinbao operates a coal-fired combined heat-and-power plant in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. It produces both heat and steam in addition to electricity generation.

2) Asia Power (Neijiang) Hydroelectricity Co., Ltd (“Neijiang”)

60% owned by Asia Power and 40% by Neijiang Xinyuan, Neijiang owns and operates a 13.5 MW hydropower station in Zizhong County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province. Commissioned in January 1991, it comprises 3 generating units with an installed capacity of 4.5 MW each.


3) Sichuan Anning River Energy Development Co., Ltd. (“Anning River”)
Anning River has undertaken to build hydropower stations along Anning River. The Sankeshu hydropower station operates a total installed capacity of 52MW (2 generating units at 26 MW each) and has commenced operations in January 2005.

4) Changzhou Suyuan Electric Power Co., Ltd (“Changzhou Suyuan”)
Changzhou Suyuan owns and operates two peaking power plants in Jiangsu Province. The 51MW combined-cycle peaking power plant is located in Changzhou City. It has a gas turbine generating set of 36 MW and a steam turbine generating set of 15 MW, which started electricity generation in 1996. The other 48 MW diesel engine peaking power plant is located in Yangzhou City. The Yangzhou plant has 4 diesel engine sets at 12 MW each and went into production in 1996.

5) Changzhou Huayuan Electric Power Co., Ltd (“Changzhou Huayuan”)
The 59.6 MW peaking plant, located on the site adjacent to the existing Changzhou plant under Changzhou Suyuan in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, comprises of a gast turbine generating set of 39.6 MW and a steam turbine set of 20 MW.

6) Asia Power (Leibo) Hydroelectricity Co., Ltd (“Leibo”)
Leibo was incorporated in March 2006 with the Group holding an effectivelyequity interest of 87%. The principal activities of Leibo are to develop and operate hydropower electricity generation plants with 40 MW installation capacity in Sichuan, PRC.

7) JAZ Technology Development (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd (“JAZ Technology”)
The Principal activities of JAZ Technology are in the Research, development and manufacture of power automation systems and instruments.

CITY SPRING INFRASTRUCTURE TRUST

CitySpring's initial portfolio will comprise 100 percent of the City Gas Trust, the sole producer and retailer of town gas and the sole user of the low-pressure piped town gas network in Singapore, and 70 percent of the SingSpring Trust, the sole supplier of desalinated water to the PUB, Singapore's national water agency.

HYFLUX LIMITED

The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 31 March 2000 under the name of Hyflux Pte Ltd. The Company was subsequently converted to a public limited company on 20 December 2000 and changed its name to Hyflux Ltd, an investment holding company.
Started in 1989, the Group is a water treatment specialist providing integrated treatment systems for advanced water treatment and membrane filtration. It also provides one-stop shop service for the design, fabrication, installation, commissioning and maintenance of treatment systems for water purification, wastewater treatment and water recycling. In the specialised field of membrane processing, the Company utilises membrane filtration technologies that have found diverse applications across industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. 

The Group's projects and customers are in Singapore, China and Malaysia. In 2000, it opened its new production premises at Changi South to carry out in-house manufacturing, assembling and testing of water treatment plants.
