The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 27 August 1983 under the name of R Sim Trading Co. Pte Ltd which was changed to R Sim & Company Pte Ltd in 1988 and subsequently to Osim International (S) Pte Ltd in 1996. On 4 July 2000, it was converted to a public limited company, and the name of the Company was changed to Osim International Ltd.
Osim is in the business of marketing, distributing and franchising of a comprehensive range of healthy lifestyle products. Other than the Daito-Osim joint ventures, all the Group's production needs are outsourced to contract manufacturers in Japan, Taiwan, Spain, Italy, US, Australia and Korea as it believes in focusing on its strengths in marketing and brand management.

BACKGROUNDThe Company was incorporated in Singapore as a private company limited by shares under the on 11 December 1990 under the name of Best World Trading Pte Ltd. It subsequently changed its name to Best World International Pte Ltd on 13 September 1996. Pursuant to a Restructuring Exercise, it became the holding company of the Group. On 26 May 2004, the Company was converted to a public company and rename to Best World International Limited.

The Group is principally engaged in the provision of lifestyle and wellness services for both women and men at its lifestyle and wellness centres under “Mary Chia” (for women) and “Urban Homme” (for men).
