BACKGROUNDThe Company was incorporated on 21 August 1970 under the name Teo Teck Huat Enterprises (Pte) Ltd. It changed its name to Teo Teck Huat Investments Pte Ltd and subsequently to Amara Hldgs Pte Ltd on 6 July 1995. In the 1930s, the late Teo Teck Huat founded the business which started as a building construction company.

To capitalise on the growth of the tourism industry in Singapore, the Group expanded into hotel investment and management and developed the Amara Hotel and Shopping Centre in the mid 1980s. Following that, to complement its hospitality management operation, Amara set up a number of specialty restaurants and a food court.
In 1996, Amara expanded overseas into Vietnam ("Amara Saigon") and continued to broaden its presence in the region with another hotel investment in China, Amara Chengdu, in 1999.

BANYAN TREE HOLDINGS

BACKGROUNDThe Company was incorporated in Singapore on 11 April 2000.
The Company is a manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels and spas in the Asia Pacific. The Company manages and/or has ownership interests in niche resorts and hotels. Its resorts each typically has between 50 and 100 rooms and command room rates at the high end of each property’s particular market. The Company offers their customers a multi-faceted travel and leisure experience which they deliver through their 26 hotels and resorts, 65 spas, 70 galleries (where their Banyan Tree and Angsana branded products are sold) and two golf courses.

The Company has seven operating business segments: hotel investment, hotel residence sales, hotel management, spa operations, gallery operations, property sales, and design fees and others (design and project management, golf course operations and other businesses).

BACKGROUNDThe Company was incorporated in Singapore on 21 September 1961 under the name of “Lim Kah Ngam (Singapore) Private Limited”. On 24 August 1984, it was converted into a public company and changed its name to “Lim Kah Ngam Limited”. Its name was subsequently changed to “LKN-Primefield Limited” and “HLG Enterprise Limited” on 4 June 2001 and 29 September 2006 respectively. On 23 April 2008, its name was further changed to “HL Global Enterprises Limited”.
The core businesses of theGroup are that of hospitality operations, property development and investment holding. The Group, through its joint venture companies, owns a number of Equatorial hotels in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia and Shanghai, China and a Copthorne hotel in Qingdao, China. The Group also owns an investment property known as Wisma LKN in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and a serviced apartment building in Shanghai. It also manages, inter alia, these hotels in Cameron and Qingdao.

HOTEL GRAND CENTRAL LTD

BACKGROUNDThe Group operates the Grand Central/Grand Continental/Grand Chancellor chain of hotels in Singapore and Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. It also has other investment properties in New Zealand. It is also currently developing an industrial park and serviced apartments in Kuala Lumpur.

The principal activities of the Company are those of a hotel owner and operator and that of the Group cover hotel ownership and operation, rent collecting, property development and trading in motor spare parts.

BACKGROUNDThe Company was incorporated in 1968 to carry on business as a hotelier. It owns a 16-storey hotel, the Hotel Royal with 331 rooms.

BACKGROUNDThe principal activities of the Company are those of a hotelier, property owners and the holding of investments. It owns and operates the 350-room Plaza Parkroyal and the adjoining The Plaza (commercial building and serviced apartments), the 531-room New Park Centra and the 337-room Grand Plaza Parkroyal Hotel in Singapore.

The Group has majority interests in four hotels in Australia, Parkroyal at Darling Harbour, Parkroyral Paramatta and The Landmark Parkroyal, all three in Sydney and the Sheraton Perth Hotel in Perth.
